| | Hi all, is there anyone currently working with the VS 2005 Beta 2? I've had some issues with the new IDE, the most annoying one is that the IDE turns unresponsive after working on it for a while and I'm unable to delete, backspace or enter inside the code. I noticed a few other bugs and reported to MS. I would like to hear about other people's experiences to know it's not just me wracking my head with... |

| | Not using the beta , but I am using VW express and C# from
http://lab.msdn.microsoft.com. Haven't had lock up but as you use it perfomance seems to degrade. On the plus side I have become addicted to intellesesnse. |

| | Yes, it is a beta, the point is, how long before it is mature enough to use in real life projects? So far it has a few bugs that couldcompromise productivity. Any pros/cons on using this beta for real? |

| | Well I wouldn't use any beta in a production environment. So I guess it comes down to your tolerance for risk, note how beta 1 projects need to be converted to beta 2... Currently I use it as a test environ and I like what I see as a developer but memory leaks and memory access violations tune me into the fact that don't want to run production on this framework yet

| | What topic would you like to see presented at a .NET User Group meeting? |
|
| | | | | |
| | I'd like to see a presentation on developing Web Parts for SharePoint. I'm also curious to know what Visual Studio 2005 will bring to this area. |

| | I'd like to see some presentation on Globalization and Localization of applications. I know VS 2005 has some cool new features that help speed up the process of creating resources and substituing them based on the selected culture. |
