WinFX represents change. It is the evolution of the Win32 API and provides a rock-solid foundation for building your “next big thing”. Consisting of the Windows Communication Foundation (WCF), the Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF), the Windows Workflow Foundation (WinWF), and “InfoCard”, WinFX is landscape-changing in terms of Windows as a development platform.
